How to get to Albany Airport by Bus

CDTA Routes 117, 155, and 737 all stop at Albany Airport.

Downtown Albany can be reached by Route 737. In contrast, Colonie and Guilderland can be contacted via Route 117 and their respective shopping centers, Colonie Center and Crossgates Mall.

In addition to Vermont Translines and Adirondack Trailways, Adirondack Trailways also offers intercity bus service to and from the airport. You can also pick up a Vermont Translines bus to Vermont and Southern New York.

Long Distance - Adirondack Trailways

Depending on your starting point, you can take an Adirondack Trailways bus to any of the following locations: Albany, Amsterdam, Boston, Buffalo, Canton, Chestertown, Clifton Park, Cobleskill, Cobleskill Campus (Coach USA connection), Glens Falls, Keene Valley, Keene, Kingston, Lake George, Lake Placid, Malone, Massena, Montreal, Newburgh, New Paltz, New York City, Oneonta (via Kingston), Paul Smith.

JFK, Newark, LaGuardia Shuttle-Premiere Transportation

Premiere Transportation operates a shuttle to and from JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark Airports daily from Albany International Airport.

• From Albany Airport on Commercial Lane, the daily 9:30 a.m. JFK-LaGuardia shuttle departs.
• Every day at 10:30 a.m., the Newark shuttle departs from Albany Airport.
• At 6:30 p.m., the shuttle will depart JFK for Albany.
• Shuttle service back to Newark terminates promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Megabus

The intercity Megabus's New York City–Ridgewood, New Jersey route operates often.

Due to rail servicing work, the station's bus bays are also used by the temporary Amtrak Thruway Motorcoach services.

The station is served by two bus lines provided by the local public transit provider, the Capital District Transportation Authority:

• Route 114, Madison/Washington, hourly during the week and every 30 minutes on the weekends.
• Route 214, Rensselaer/Third Street Amtrak: Every 30 minutes during rush hours, every 40 minutes during the day, and usually every hour on evenings and weekends.

Vermont Translines buses go to and from Burlington, Vermont, and stop there. Amtrak and Greyhound Lines both offer tickets for these itineraries.
